Founded by the Yang-En Foundation, which was jointly initiated and established by Mr. Wu Qingxing, a patriotic overseas Chinese, and his wife Ms. Lin Hui, Yang-En University is the first private university in New China qualified to issue state-recognized undergraduate diplomas and confer bachelor's degrees. Subsequently, the two sides held an in-depth discussion on the topics of university-local collaboration, Party-building in higher education, integration of industry and education, and talent cultivation.

Tang Chunxiao emphasized that Yang-En University, a golden name card of Luojiang, embodies the late founder Wu Qingxing's profound patriotism and his sense of responsibility for the nation, which is truly admirable. Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions, the university must carry forward its fine traditions, uphold the school motto, deepen connotative development, and foster win-win collaboration with the local area. To make the university better, it is necessary to keep firmly in mind the mission of the school, consciously integrate the Party's leadership into its governance system, firmly strengthen systematic thinking, management concepts, professional spirit and risk awareness, and make overall plans to improve teaching quality, optimize educational environment, and conduct comprehensive campus management. It is essential to give full play to resource advantages, tap into theoretical and practical reserves, continuously upgrade the red heritage sites, actively promote the construction of on-site teaching sites and the application of modern exhibition and display technologies, so as to build an important base for inheriting red genes, carrying out patriotism education, fostering a sense of national pride and cultivating an entrepreneurial culture. This will guide faculty and students to uphold integrity and commitment, pursue entrepreneurial success, and forge their aspirations to serve the country.

To serve local development, the university will continue to deepen industry-education integration, university-enterprise cooperation and university-local linkage, optimize the discipline layout, promote the effective connected chains of  education, talents, industries and innovation, cultivate more high-level innovative talents, incubate more high-level educational achievements to align with Luojiang's development, striving for in the same direction and resonating at the same frequency.
