On December 17th, a competition, titled Building Dreams for Youth, Aiming for the Future; Planning for Career, Guiding the Future, was held in the multi-functional lecture hall of the First Teaching Area. Several individuals were invited to serve as judges for the competition, including Wu Xiaowei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of Economics; Zeng Fengsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Dean of the School of Engineering Technology; Lv Siren, a staff member from the Student Affairs Office; Chen Haisheng, Principal of Yougong Education (Eastern Guangdong and Southern Fujian Region); and Ma Xueting, Human Resources Manager of Budweiser Southeast Sales Co., Ltd.. Nearly 300 people, including relevant staff members from the Student Affairs Office, instructors of the participating students, counselors, and student representatives, observed the competition.

The competition featured two tracks: Career Development and Employment. Since its launch in November, 24 students were selected and recommended by their respective colleges to enter the university-level preliminary round. Through online review by experts from both inside and outside the university, six students from each track advanced to the university-level finals.

At the finals, participants in the Growth Track vividly illustrated their continuous actions and dynamic adjustments guided by career goals; while participants in the Employment Track focused on the requirements of their target positions, systematically demonstrating their comprehensive qualities, professional abilities, and the suitability for the role. Judges, based on the participants' performance, asked questions and provided feedback on aspects such as the depth of their career awareness, the effectiveness of their practical actions, and their job competency analysis.

After evaluation, two first-prize winners, four second-prize winners, six third-prize winners, and eleven honorable mentions were selected across both tracks. Wang Chun-Chun from the School of Humanities and Fan Ling-Xuan from the School of Management won first prizes in the Growth Track and Employment Track, respectively. Teachers Chen Sheng-Hua and Lian Jing-Xia were awarded Outstanding Instructor.
It is reported that, in order to effectively leverage the educational function of promoting learning, teaching, and employment through competition, and to deepen career education and employment guidance, our university used the career planning competition as an opportunity to actively guide students to establish scientific views on talent development, employment, and career in hope of enhancing their career planning awareness and employment competitiveness. During the competition, the university collaborated with its various colleges to conduct a series of targeted employment guidance and online/offline recruitment activities, focusing on building a platform for university-enterprise cooperation. At the same time, by leveraging the National College Student Career Planning Competition platform, career challenges and career assessments were integrated into career education courses, attracting over 4,000 students from across the university and creating a strong career planning atmosphere on campus.
